Julie Myers
Chief Executive Officer
Julie Myers, the current Chief Executive Officer of the One Love Foundation since 2023, embodies a legacy marked by commitment, triumph, and a resolute drive for change. After graduating with a Sociology degree from the University of Virginia in 1990, she set out to make an indelible impact. From 1986 to 1991, Julie's athletic journey thrived in the fields of Field Hockey and Lacrosse, earning her Regional and National All-American Honors and culminating in a significant Lacrosse National Championship victory in 1991.
Transitioning seamlessly into coaching, Julie embraced a new role as a Graduate Assistant for Field Hockey and Lacrosse from 1992 to 1993. This phase paralleled her scholarly pursuits in UVA's School of Education, where she immersed herself in graduate studies focused on Special Education, showcasing her commitment to multifaceted growth. Guiding as Assistant Lacrosse Coach from 1993 to 1995, Julie nurtured talent and propelled athletes toward success, with the crowning achievement being the triumph of clinching the 1993 NCAA Title, a victory resonating through her subsequent coaching endeavors.
From 1995 to 2023, Julie's legacy solidified as Head Coach, etching her name into Lacrosse history. The pinnacle moment arrived in 2004, securing another NCAA Title alongside the prestigious National Coach of the Year accolade, underscoring her dedication to her craft and the athletes she guided. Julie's influence extended beyond the field, with back-to-back ACC Coach of the Year distinctions in 2004 and 2006, establishing her as a pivotal figure in the realm of sports.
A landmark in her journey occurred as she became the pioneer to capture NCAA Titles as a player, assistant coach, and head coach in women's lacrosse, a testament to her unwavering commitment and leadership prowess. A striking legacy unfurled, encompassing a remarkable record of 27 consecutive NCAA Tournament bids from 1996 to 2023, showcasing both her unwavering commitment and her team's undeniable prowess. Even amid the COVID-19 pandemic's disruption in 2020, her athletes showcased unwavering resilience.
Noteworthy recognitions include her induction into the Central Virginia Lacrosse Hall of Fame in 2015 and the 2022 Diane Geppi Aikens Award, further affirming her lasting impact on Women's Lacrosse. Rooted in Charlottesville, Virginia, Julie takes pride in her role as a mother to Kelsey, Timmy, and Kevin, witnessing their academic and athletic pursuits blossom, and continuing the legacy of dedication.
Amidst her manifold accomplishments, the story of Yeardley Love resonates profoundly, steering her toward a mission beyond sports. Fueled by the impact of losing Yeardley to relationship abuse, Julie's fervent advocacy propels her collaboration with the One Love Foundation for 13 years. Her commitment to raising awareness, education, and the fight against relationship abuse serves as a testament to her noble purpose, evoking a sense of fulfillment in driving positive change.
Kate Biddle
Director of Development
Kate Biddle (she/her) leads fundraising strategy and donor engagement efforts to support One Love’s vital work to end relationship abuse. With more than seven years of experience in non-profit fundraising, Kate has a proven track record of cultivating major gifts, stewarding individual donors, and securing institutional support. Her passion for development stems from a deep belief in the power of relationships—both in philanthropy and in creating lasting social change. Kate earned her B.A. in Political Science from Washington University in St. Louis and her M.S. in Finance from Georgetown University. She is based in Washington, DC. Michael Harley
Director of Partner Success
Michael Harley (he/him/his) is responsible for overseeing programming and strategy with all schools, community-based organizations and individuals outside of our regional offices. Previously, Michael served as an Engagement Manager for over three years on the Tri-State team and worked for Binghamton University’s 20:1 Prevention Programs, leading workshops around Sexual Assault Prevention and Bystander Intervention to Binghamton students. A native of New Jersey, Michael graduated from SUNY-Binghamton with a major in Psychology and a minor in Biological Anthropology. Kevin Masukawa
Senior Product & Operations Manager
Kevin Masukawa (he/him) is responsible for managing programming and strategy with middle and high schools in the Midwest, South, and East Coast. Prior to joining One Love in 2022, Kevin was a high school math teacher as part of Teach for America’s New York City corps. He is a California native and a graduate of California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo where he studied Finance, Philosophy, and Media Arts.
Nate King
Youth Leadership Manager
Nate King is the Youth Leadership Manager at One Love, where he leads the Youth Leadership Program and helps young people grow as leaders while building stronger, more connected communities. Since graduating, Nate has worked in education, teaching lower school and working in data management at a charter school.
Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, Nate first got involved with One Love in high school as a student leader in Boys' Latin's One Laker | One Love club. That experience continues to inspire his work today. Nate earned his B.S. in Business Administration from Washington & Lee University and his M.A. in Curriculum & Teaching from Teachers College, Columbia University. Nate is passionate about connecting with students and helping them see the difference they can make in their communities.
Sarah Lopez
Marketing Manager
Sarah Lopez (she/her) is the Marketing Manager at One Love, where she brings four years of experience in developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns across diverse channels, industries, and audiences. Passionate about impactful storytelling and data-driven strategies, Sarah is excited to leverage her expertise to help advance One Love’s mission to end relationship abuse. She is a Virginia native and a graduate of Vanderbilt University, where she studied Economics, Spanish, and Business.
Hanna Schuler
Operations Coordinator
Hanna Schuler is joining the One Love team as the Operations Coordinator, bringing a strong background in athletic operations and team management. She previously served as the Director of Operations for the Women’s Lacrosse team at Virginia Commonwealth University for three years, overseeing team logistics, planning, and day-to-day operations. A former student-athlete, Hanna played lacrosse at Arizona State University and earned her degree in Sports Management. Originally from Charlottesville, Virginia, she’s excited to apply her expertise and passion for teamwork to support One Love’s mission of ending relationship abuse.
Yesmina Townsley
Partner Success Coordinator
Yesmina Townsley is a Partner Success Coordinator at One Love Foundation, where she manages programming and strategy for middle and high schools, as well as colleges, across the Midwest, South, and East Coast. With a BA in Film from Vassar College, Yesmina is passionate about storytelling and community empowerment, focusing on promoting healthy relationships among young people.
Before joining One Love, Yesmina gained diverse experience in retail sales, dance photography, yoga instruction, and film production. As Partner Success Coordinator, Yesmina leverages her expertise in project management and event planning to develop programs that empower schools and communities to foster healthy relationships, and she looks forward to using education and dialogue to create positive connections. Emma Tucek
Partner Success Coordinator
Emma Tucek (she/her) is a Partner Success Coordinator at One Love Foundation, where she manages programming and strategy for middle schools, high schools, and colleges across the Midwest, South, and East Coast.
Emma graduated from the University of Dayton with a B.A. in Psychology, a minor in Marketing, and a certificate in Human Sexuality Studies. Emma brings diverse experience in interpersonal violence prevention, education, and advocacy, including serving as a Peer Educator for a sexual violence prevention group for four years in college. Emma also conducted undergraduate research examining sexual assault and victim-blaming and provided direct support to survivors during her advocacy and counseling internship with a domestic violence agency.
